I’m wary of using PCEF funds but this is a GREAT idea. The potential for transit “doom loop” is very real.

Totally Agree. TKL is just mad that the VP doesn’t have more clear responsibilities in this form of government. I wouldn’t expect any Council President to willingly abdicate their duties now and then just to be nice to the VP.

I had the EXACT same thing happen to me on the new 4th Ave. A stupid SUV driver who I could see was on his phone and ignored the flashing lights to look for bikers.

I cannot emphasize enough that affordability has to be our number one focus right now. The number one driver of people living on our streets is the fact that they can't make rent - they can't keep up with the fact that almost everything is more expensive right now.

Current transportation funding is from gas tax and parking taxes - aka the more the city negates fossil fuels, the less money for transportation. This creates an incentive structure in conflict with the city’s sustainability goals. 2/
