Will is not on Slack. But he was in his office. So a member of Guild leadership was able to hand-deliver the messages and explain that his employees were eager to have him read their messages. He said he would.

Fifty members from the Post Guild and @wapotechguild.bsky.social gathered yesterday to deliver the printouts. Adam wasn’t there, so we left him a note!

Juuuuuust to make sure management saw what roughly 150 employees had to say, the Guild printed each message. One set for Opinions editor Adam O’Neal and one for publisher Will Lewis.

Despite being tagged in more than 100 Slack messages, management didn’t respond.

The Washington Post wrongly fired Opinions columnist Karen Attiah over her social media posts. The Post not only flagrantly disregarded standard disciplinary processes, it also undermined its own mandate to be a champion of free speech.
