…intended specifically for the type of player who would find themselves there playing it. it’s a game that tries to make anyone who plays it a better person from wherever that person is starting from. i have no idea how much it succeeds at that, but the ambition to even try is incredible.

one of the most incredible things about it is how the size of the budget allows them to do things like shove an entire AAA racing sim with enough depth to keep you playing for months, into an optional minigame. and there’s a dozen “minigames” like that. and they all encode some meaning or lesson…

the game is an ecosystem that only reveals its secrets if you patiently observe them. it teaches the player how to be a part of an ecosystem. which is something we lost when we gave up the connective tissue of ours to capital.
