I write about the intersections of trauma, healing, and culture — the messy in-between space where growth actually happens.
I chose my wife. My son chose his dad. And somehow we’re all okay.
New on the blog: the story nobody wanted me to tell about non-custodial motherhood, guilt, and learning that good moms don’t all look the same. Link in bio. 🖤

I thought I was healed because everyone around me said I was doing great.
Turns out I just had really good yes-men.
Real healing started when someone finally told me the truth about myself.
I Thought I Was Healed Because No One Would Tell Me the Truth
How being surrounded by “yes-men” quietly stalled my healing

If this doesn’t unlock a core memory, we didn’t grow up the same 😭💚

No cheating — what movie is this from?

“Learn Spanish in four months” wasn’t arrogance—it was exhaustion.
Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl moment says more about America than music ever could.
Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl Moment Isn’t About Spanish — It’s About Survival.
Bad Bunny told Americans they had four months to learn Spanish if they wanted to understand his Super Bowl halftime show.

“Cartels” according to who? Forbes just running with the headline like it’s verified fact. Journalism or propaganda?

You don’t “handle” a narcissist.
You outgrow the version of yourself that needed their approval.

Peace isn’t silence.
It’s clarity — the kind they can’t twist.

We don’t heal by turning away.
We heal by remembering.
By refusing to let our hearts harden.
By speaking what’s ugly, even when it pains us.

If we refuse to see Gaza as “another war,” maybe we begin to repair our politics—and our souls.

250,000 voices standing for Palestine 🇵🇸❤️
Humanity is louder than propaganda.
Another video from Amsterdam shows the massive crowd that gathered for Palestine.

Over 250,000 people wearing red flooded the streets of Amsterdam today in a massive demonstration for Palestine.

The lengths they’ll go to avoid accountability are staggering. Every “red herring” is a distraction meant to keep the truth buried.
Welker: They say the house is not in session because you don't want to swear in the newly elected democratic congresswoman who would be a critical vote to releasing the Epstein files.

Johnson: It's totally absurd. This has nothing to do with that. It's another red herring.

Tim Walz naming the absurdity here perfectly. Imagine weaponizing investigations over something as basic as an escalator malfunction. That tells you how much of politics is about theater, not solutions.
Tim Walz: "My god, we've got the White House threatening investigations and jail time because an escalator stopped? Walk up the damn stairs!"

Exactly. Calling state violence and systemic abuse “distractions” erases the real harm happening in people’s lives. These aren’t side stories, they’re central to the reality so many live in every day.
Please...PLEASE stop referring to the military occupation of American cities and the brutalization of minority communities as "distractions."

If you can’t say out loud that every human deserves life-saving care, you’ve already told us everything.
REPORTER: Should ERs check immigration status before treating a dying patient?

LEAVITT: That's probably not a question for me to answer. That's a question for healthcare professionals and legal experts to answer.

(That's not a no!)

The slip matters because it echoes a system that protects predators and punishes truth-tellers. Until those Epstein files are fully released, every “gaffe” feels like a leak from the web.

Tony Blair’s catastrophic decision to invade Iraq cost thousands upon thousands of lives.

He shouldn’t be anywhere near the Middle East, let alone Gaza.

It is not up to Blair, Trump or Netanyahu to decide the future of Gaza. That is up to the people of Palestine.

Speculation post:
If the U.S. was free, Gaza wouldn’t still be bleeding.
We call it “foreign policy,” but it feels like obedience dressed up in stupid words?
Is it unhinged to even ask? Or unhinged not to?
