We were so far ahead of our time! The technology is only just catching up with our ambitious ideas! 😜

It's an "epic" that never got finished in 1984, due to the fact that it was far too ambitious for the technology and budget of the time. Slightly melancholy, because some of the people playing on it are no longer with us.

The tape kept jamming about five minutes from the end, just where one of the tracks I wanted starts. I ended up doing a transplant into a replacement shell. I've now captured all the audio I need 🫡phew!

I think I'll go and hear The Skatalites, then pop over to the Middle Earth all-nighter at the Roundhouse, maybe just in time for the "3rd Year Band"? ✌️😉

I bought all those individually the first time around.

Reading this has prompted me to dig out that barmy Richard Harris album.

I just stopped being curious. I don't have any connection to his mythos.

I did like this incarnation of KCrim at the time it happened.

I thought they were a breath of fresh air, a brave move into the new decade.

But it doesn't do a thing for me now. Sounds far too contrived and lacking in any spontaneity.

Plus: Roland guitar synths and Simmons drums. 🤢

Any connection I had for The Boss's music never went beyond "The River".
