According to the dev lead, the project was halted by Nintendo because they "wanted the Game Boy Advance to be used in a standard way and did not like 3D games due to a less than excellent frame rate".

Man, Japanese "gotouchi kyara" (local mascots) have such a strong presence on X/Twitter that following them there has kept my "for you" feed almost free of political nonsenses and AGI hype garbage 🤣🤣
