Tragically funny that US automakers had ONE CHANCE to actually compete with Toyota and WIN BIG but let it slide because they’re incapable of planning for the long term.

Youtube has gone the same way as google search. The front page is littered with ads, videos that look like ads, shorts (I don’t want shorts?!). Complete garbage.

I find it difficult to understand why Governments/Public agencies continue to provide important public information on Twitter but not Bluesky/Mastodon, since the former requires an account to even view info.

Engineering is the intersection of Curiosity and Capability

When your curiosity outstrips your capability, you expand your capability and grow

When your capability expands, it allows you to see farther and grows your curiosity

Don't allow your tools take away both your Curiosity and Capability

John Thornton, a founder of The Texas Tribune and one of the most vital and influential leaders in nonprofit journalism, died on Saturday.

His passing is an immeasurable loss for our staff, our board and our supporters and readers, past and present.
Remembering John Thornton, founder of The Texas Tribune
Thornton conceived of the idea of a nonprofit news enterprise to engage Texans with their government, and then helped support similar outlets across the country. He died Saturday at 59.
