i agree w/ people arguing that prioritizing access to hormones & other aspects of "medical transition" are vital; i've suffered much from lack of access in my life, with several false starts. but i'm deeply uncomfortable with the attempts to draw out another divide btwn "transgender" & "transsexual"

gay rights were not won through a fundamental shift in people's understanding of the world, nor through finding the exact right philosophical framing & set of concepts to explain gay love. as much as i love philosophy & do think its important, people need to be less essay-brained about this stuff.
