I used to really like this poem because it expresses the poet's deep regard for life. That is, until I learned that the tragedy Cao Cao was lamenting was caused by his own army.

Maybe it's because most of OnlyFans' content requires a paid subscription, so the Chinese govt believes it won't affect the mentality of Chinese internet users. However, has anyone considered posting political content on OnlyFans?

It's hard to quantify, as people can access Jin Yong's novels through many different channels. My personal guess (without any data) is that the majority of Jin Yong's readers are still male, but when it comes to movies and TV adaptations of his works, the audience leans more toward women.

That said, except for Wei Xiaobao, all the other male protagonists commit to one romantic partner and don’t have a harem, even though the time periods in the novels would allow for it. This plays into the psychology of male readers—they want women to affirm their charm, but they also crave loyalty.

I think the author is deliberately trying to appeal to male readers. In Jin Yong's novels, the male protagonists are always surrounded by beautiful women—Guo Jing has three, Zhang Wuji has four, and Yang Guo is such a magnet that every woman in the story is drawn to him.

Perhaps that's true in the grand narrative—Guo Jing has always fought against foreign invasions. But in terms of love, Guo Jing is certainly not a "candor/honest" person. He hid the existence of Huazheng while courting Huang Rong.

I just don’t get why people still use Grammarly after ChatGPT came out. It’s obsessed with adding “the” to every noun.

2/2 If you replace *wokeism* with *liberalism* or *communism*, it still sounds fine. In fact, we are always misled by the phenomena we observe. Liberalism is in retreat, communism has collapsed, so what ideology is expanding now?

4/This criticism is actually quite valid. Famous "才子佳人" works, such as *Peach Blossom Fan* or *Romance of the Western Chamber*, generally follow this same formula. end/
