Yes, exactly. I love series! And, despite questioning my own choices a lot, I don't have to do anything I don't want to. But I've seen Cars 2 (and 3) too many times to say all series are good... 😬

This morning the 4yo asked if we could get Singin' in the Rain 2 and 3. I feel like he unwittingly put a finger on something I hate about children's media.

I like how I see people posting about how they go from a sketch to a finished book cover. They always skip across the part I seem to spend the most time in, which is chewing my pencils and coming up with bad ideas.

I finished this guy for the 8yo last week. He picked out all the yarn and the pattern. I...did all the crocheting.

4yo: There are no people allowed in the dog park.

Me: Uh, wh—

4yo: There are no people or dogs allowed in the dog park.

My husband, hearing about this later: this is your fault.

I always sign myself E.H. Lupton (sometimes with Em in parentheses), and then if we need to exchange $$, I just put my full last name on the contract.
