I'm learning pixel arttttt 🎨
Again, I'm applying some of Adam CYounis's lessons into this one:
- low contrast = don't pay attention (grass textures)
- higher contrast = attention (water border, careful!)
- Aseprite shading brush is chef kiss
- practicing keyboard shortcuts

Overall, I'm happy with my progress

Adam CYounis's tutorials have been real helpful in the progress of this bunny park

Btw for this sprite I had to do some research about ancient weapons. I found that shield is "thuẫn" and the weapon that is crafted for the specific purpose of piercing through the shield is "mâu" (we use different words for these now)

Hence "mâu thuẫn" means conflict. I love this language so much.

It's quite easy to make actually, as I mentioned, you just need to whip an egg yolk with some (~5-10g) of sugar or honey until it forms a light yellow cream. Then you pour it on top of some hot black coffee. Top with cacao if you have.

I make it at home sometimes too, especially for guests :))

However, as I binge watched Youtube yesterday, I came across a great video tutorial on how to draw trees. Thanks so much to Pixel Principles!

This method reminds me of the Mandelbrot fractal. A broccoli is made of smaller broccoli (or in Italian, broccolini). A bush is made of smaller bushes.

Also experimented with different kinds of outline. I'm happy with how this turned out.

I chose to pursue pixel art because it seemed easy. Well it's actually not that easy as I expected but the hard work is in the detail, which I kinda enjoy. So far so good!
