Lemme use the base 2E GM Apprentice Deck, an oracle, to give you an idea how it might go down.
So, just picking out one card, we have three possible situations (technically four with the middle bit), three names and traits that might inspire a (N)PC, some evocative words and sensory cues. Nice!

Okay, these Gamemaster's Assistant decks are super god-damn useful for solo play and winging it DMing. Base 2E and Horror 1E, and I'm in love.
Prompts? Oracles? Die rolls for p. much every dice? Even a *map* thingumajigger?
