Hmmm, I don't know if it would be "wacky", but maybe my grandmother coaxing me to draw illustrations of Krishna for one of her books. That was nice. #Writestuff

I did. But at this point, just trying to create small, disruption-proof 2026 goals. One is update my Medium buffer. #writestuff

Find people you can trust; if you’re feeling with a lot of betrayal grief, find your holiday comfort movies and rituals. I’m considering what online bestie traditions can and can’t be kept this year. #writestuff

If you have people that respect boundaries? Tell them you need some unwinding time. But if you live with people or a brain that takes offense at the word “boundaries”, prep any ingredients, send those cards and wrap the presents now. Take care of any errands if possibles #writestuff

One of them is annual, so I hope to crack them eventually. The other is a new place, though, that’s mail only. But I figure it’s worth a try if an idea comes. #writestuff

I’m still figuring that part. While I write best at night, having a disrupted routine or lots of stress will kill the drive. I’d to rebuild a consistent baseline before assessing how winter makes it worse. As a teen, writing in the summer was best because no obligations and lots of sun #writestuff

#WriteStuff A1: I would love to be writing more. Oddly, my hubs was home Thanksgiving, which *yeah*, but there were so many more dishes to do each night that I missed out on my writing time. It’s gnawing at me, too.

Tbh I’m taking a break from burnout this week. It’s hard because I’ve been go go go go. But I’m all out of energy while having ideas and ambition. #writestuff

Been enjoying hearing about Purim! The costumes and candy lore are super sweet, no pun intended.
I wouldn't say I enjoy International Holocaust Day, but I find it important. Remembering the Holocaust is all about making sure that it never happens again. #WriteStuff

Thanksgiving because of how it glorifies colonization and we're taught the theme park version. Not to mention having to tolerate family members who won't understand boundaries. While I like the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving special, the holiday has too much bad outweighing good. #WriteStuff

Graphic novels? The Christmas scenes in Heartstopper.
Manga, probably Pet Shop of Horrors for their Christmas special. Mermaid Prince for the story "One Snowy Day" about a parent and child reading in a library to get away from a storm. #WriteStuff

Hmm.
I checked through my TBR; not many stories with Christmas scenes. Benny Ramirez and the Nearly Departed is one though!
No Better Than Beasts is Nutcracker-inspired and fun! @zrellor.bsky.social
Short story collections? "Christmas Island" in Changing Planes by Ursula K LeGuin #WriteStuff

Muppet Christmas Carol! Without question. Michael Caine delivering a serious performance while Kermit ice-skates and Gonzo flies off great heights. #WriteStuff

I miss the days when they were pure joy. Drama makes December a stress fest, especially when you spend time with someone that watches political debates like sports games. #WriteStuff
