While there is a shooting, it’s not fatal, nor do we find out about the recovery. As they say in “Monty Python and the Holy Grail,” it’s just a flesh wound.

I struggle with maligning the name of a historic figure. I think I can make it slide, but I feel a bit guilty about it.

…and when I checked, I missed Wednesday’s #TimeTravelAuthors, too.

“Three, two, one,” Patrick #counted.
Clementine waited, practically unblinkingly, for the equipment to rev up, or light up, or heat up. She saw nothing.

I realized I missed yesterday’s #TimeTravelAuthors post…

#Day23
There’s a scene between my MC and the MC in the past timeline where they argue nastily, and it is intense and I just love it.

#WriteStuff A2 In music and writing, I enjoy the creativity involved in taking two disparate genres and pushing them together into something new and delightful.

For a musical example, here's Brass Against with "Killing in the Name".

Clementine, my MC, thinks her goal is to get back to her brother. Her real goal, is to stop the infiltration of AI in history.

I love this Q! There are a lot of costs, especially financial, that probably never occur to the reader, or the author. In the case of my “inventor,” he gets by on small government-funded contracts as a third-party consultant. (I guess that’s a thing of the past.)

#TimeTravelAuthors #Day13
My story is not at all realistic, bc it’s a #TimeTravel story. But hey, if readers want to play along, I keep the technology low-key. I’ve also researched the heck out of the period to which my MC jumps, so I hope her experience in the past feels pretty darn real.

I love the notion of characters having to choose their own time vs. the time to which they jumped. Probably why I like “Kate and Leopold.”
