A10: #ParkChat In my past life, I dealt with a lot of crowds. I hate ‘em. But I know this: At what point do you stop someone and say, “You can’t come in.”? For those of us who can avoid the crowds, let’s do that. For those who can’t, I don’t think it’s fair to turn people away.

A9: #ParkChat There’s a lot of fake slop out there, but my pix are my memories and they’ll always be real to me.

A8: #ParkChat I bring (a) water and (b) patience.

A4: #ParkChat Yes, several times. Never once was I in danger, but sometimes they moved in much more quickly than I expected. Once I tent camped in a thunderstorm and my pup was NOT happy.

A3: #ParkChat I once ran into an older couple near the Tail of the Dragon who had no cell service and had no idea where they were going. Guess who has her handy dandy atlas with her. Always be prepared.

A2: Similarly, I started to teach myself how to use a compass to know how to navigate without my phone.

A1: #ParkChat I like to have an idea of what to expect, how long it will take, how much water, snacks, sunscreen, etc. to bring along.
