Absolutely massive turnout at the ICE Rapid Response training in Pittsburgh tonight, hosted by Frontline Dignity. Over 500 people showed up, including dozens from out of county & out of state.

Husband gets to work from home and hang out with Samwise all day. I'm seething with envy.

Lmao I just noticed Geno is actually the Queen of Hearts, I love it

Also Pens have scored 6 goals against the Flyers, what a delightful evening

It's Casino Night at the Pittsburgh Penguins game & they have playing card graphics for the goal scorers. The King is Sidney Crosby & the Queen... is Evgeni Malkin. #HeatedRivalry anyone?

It was this lil guy, which is a meme. The baristas at my coffee shop draw stuff on the cup sleeves like Sonic and Tails making out. Getting given one of their drawings is a special honor.

I also wonder if this was pre-drawn and the cop got given it randomly and decided to get 2 people fired.

Pittsburgh, PA #ICEOutForGood
January 12, 2026 at 12:00 AM
One more round of pictures from the Pittsburgh "ICE Out for Good" protest march on the South Side today.

I am not good at crowd numbers: lots of people, families with kids, young people with dogs, older folks; it was unbelievably cold & windy & snow got very heavy at points. Somber but energetic.

This protester had incredible trash talk game, I'm sad I only got my phone out for the tail end of her hilariously berating a plainclothes officer

A rather jaunty band brings up the rear of Pittsburgh anti-ICE march

Snow is nuts
January 11, 2026 at 8:16 PM
It is VERY cold and VERY windy, and it is snowing pretty hard here at the march, but that hasn't deterred several hundred Pittsburghers

POV: Edward R. Purrow wants you to have a lovely evening.

Someone posted this picture in the /r/Pittsburgh subreddit: a Palantir billboard up in Swissvale.

It looks like when you walk onto a street in your city that's been set-dressed for shooting a movie, like a fake ad you'd see for world-building. "AMERICA'S FUTURE / software that dominates."

Samwise & Edward R. Purrow have floof for you

NEW: Publishers of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette announce they are shutting down the newspaper on May 3, 2026.

Hours ago, the Supreme Court of the US declined to extend a stay on a court order for the paper to pay its journalists following the end of a 3-year strike.

Officially Christmas because we're finally watching the greatest Christmas movie of them all
December 25, 2025 at 12:50 AM
Hell yeah Sidney Crosby!!!
December 22, 2025 at 12:36 AM
Time to start digging.
December 14, 2025 at 7:54 PM
No YOU are flopping around your house on surgical pain meds taking pictures of your cat
December 12, 2025 at 8:14 PM
I'm not allowed to lift anything heavier than 10 pounds for the next week and both Edward R. Purrow and Samwise are over that limit. Right now they are snuggling each other and looking at me like "haha, bitch, you're not invited."
