Proudhon's summary position on this can be found in 'The Little Political Catechism', from page 75 in Shawn Wilbur's working translation of volume 2 of De la Justice (1858). www.libertarian-labyrinth.org/wp-content/u...

As it’s the anniversary of Proudhon’s birth, let me offer his view. Groups have dignity in virtue of their reality, which is a function of their relational collective coherence, which is a quality that supervenes on, but is ultimately reducible to the individuals of which they comprise.

UoE annual report says TERS did reduce staff costs, but since income is more or less static (inflation linked fees only become net positive income in two years), international recruitment has nosedived, NI payments went up, and staff costs rose again (eg, 1.4% rise + living wage), we’re still fucked

At Exeter, despite the TERS payouts, our staff costs/income ratio has gone up this year, which means they’ll likely want to bring it down again next year. Where does this end? Author does quote people saying that the funding model for HE is kaput, but the attempt to address it isn’t working either

Just clarified.

Maybe not a ‘misleading assumption’. Rather no distinction is made between academic and PS or other job category losses, which might lead people to assume… etc…
