That’s exactly the thing with this cupcake founder. She walks away with millions and her poor employees are screwed and unemployed. But at least some PE company is able to convert that into shareholder value.
And I’m left without a single cupcake! 😿

PE apparently ruined some nyc cupcake chain and the owner who walked away with millions was crying that she didn’t understand what happened. You…you sold your company to a PE firm, what did you think they would do? They did it to hospitals, schools - they aren’t there to improve things, just make $$

I just looked them up on Wikipedia it sounds like they are a mixed bag. Maybe too many franchises? But you probably have many other options for most things!

There is one here in king of Prussia my sister went to and said was expensive. I think she mentioned it’s a hot place for young people on first dates who enjoy king of Prussia / main line living. I prefer the Italian market! 😹

Like no one has ever in the history of the world had a picture of themselves at the Palais Garnier! In fact their pictures are meta because there are other influensters getting their own pictures taken in the background. It’s influensters all the way down! 😹

Up there and in Barcelona at Sagrada Família. When I was there last some influenster was getting pictures taken and had staff (the woman on the left) as enforcers to keep people out of frame!
