I don’t want to rat anyone out, but maybe I am just still sad about all the small town public librarians in my old network reference roundtable who wanted to cancel all statewide academic databases for consumer reports and ancestry databases, things that are “actually useful” 🤣

But maybe this one is different. I am also open to having a big city, big uni librarian come to a small, poorly funded community college library where she sees how much the hunky librarian does with few resources, creativity and a lot of passion.

If it’s a state university it’s open. My experience in private uni libraries is mixed, sometimes open sometimes not.

Okay, while I am noting: I feel like uni libraries are less likely to have a big maker space than a big city library, but I could be wrong. Also, in my experience small town librarians could care less about big databases
