This year's spirit jersey has a great design with some nice nods to DCA icons in it.

That's what the CM *said*, but we saw Oswald & Hortensia at last year's DVC Moonlight Madness, so 🤷. However, the pavement walkway design does line up neatly with the Iwerks sign, which could signify the parting of ways between Walt & Ub, or the loss of Oswald and the creation of Mickey.

We once heard from a CM that the "Eye Works" (Iwerks) sign on Buena Vista Street and the walkway in the pavement below it mark a boundary separating Oswald and Mickey, and that's why Oswald is seen near the entrance to DCA but rarely in the hub.

Beauty & the Beast is peak Eisner-era Second Renaissance, no doubt. But Saludos Amigos and The Three Caballeros are historic. Walt & El Grupo basically invented the cultural research trip for these omnibus films. And it came at a pivotal point in the studio & the careers of both Walt and Mary Blair.

BONUS RULING: Judge Thomas Johnston, a George W. Bush appoiintee in West Virginia, used a recent ruling to warn of the dangers of defying due process for immigrants because of what it could also mean for Americans. It's worth a read.
