I appreciate your attention to removing "residual traces of insincerity."

I am excited about being selected for the AI working group. In advance of its inaugural meeting, I attach my updated bio pic for circulation to the other members.

I am delighted to inform you that the Russian State has decided to ban @rusi.bsky.social (the Royal United Services Institute) and that senior members (I am Distinguished Fellow) are potentially subject to criminal prosecution. I join my grandfather as a 'criminally undesirable element'. So proud!

Of course. The cross-subsidy is large. My informed guess is that law, business etc are the big generators sector-wide. The challenge is most felt by high-cost arts disciplines such as performing arts.

Not sure that the lower cost of teaching 'classroom' subjects is the political advantage for those subjects you think it is! I can share directly how costs flow across subjects. Running down the contribution that other colleagues make is not a great argument either. Probably not what you intended.

Was saddened to learn of the death of Dame Stephanie "Steve" Shirley. A pioneer in computing and a role model. I wish her family long life and comfort.
