Did I lock the door?

At first I felt pleasure watching the death throes of the seppo empire, but then the sheer volume of all the "news" spewing out about it became deafening

It got so bad that it blocked out everything else

I couldn't distinguish a Woolies ad from a comment on JD Vance

One evening last year, walking back from the pub, I saw these on a wall

I don't get groceries delivered, so I wasn't aware of what these posters were actually about

For a glorious moment I thought it was some sort of political statement trolling the seppo vice president

I once bought a beer on a Japanese train, not because I was thirsty, but for the pleasure of paying with my Suica card

Why can't we do the same with an Opal card or Myki ?

They've already started running candidates in seats where the Greens had a chance to knock Labor off, which would have been OK if they finished third and got the Green candidate up, but that wasn't the plan

Absolutely

That's the really clever part of the Teal organisation

No party structure

No party platform

No party whip

Just financial support for suitable candidates

(Suitable = not having any left wing tendencies)

In fact, not only should they be shut down - many of the parasite "service providers" should be prosecuted

Could it do a better job than this?

I had to explain this to someone recently

It's astonishing how many don't know the reality of the 20th century

JFC

Churchill was a right wing genocidal war criminal

Just because he was the (unelected) prime minister of a country that fought against a fascist country it doesn't make him "antifa"

That should be easy.

The only one they won was "Urgent Fury"

All they have to do is change the part about bombing hospitals

LLMs could never make a mistake, surely.

They answer with such confidence and certainty

Every tiny detail is examined and analysed....

....oh

I asked one of the billion dollar slop generators what was in this image

The answer was not what I expected

I remember being told that vehicle rollovers caused more casualties than the Black Hawk collision

I thought it was an exaggeration at the time (The soldier who told me was not a big fan of the tiptoe boys) but I realised afterwards that it's a fact

Back on the subject of good locations:

If you're ever in Hakodate, try the Sbucks on the harbour

It's on the tram route that goes out to the gaijin cemetery

I'm not a coffee snob (but I do look down on people who get "take-away" coffee, or any other beverage)

Grandad made coffee from stuff in a bottle with "an Oriental" on the label which contained "chicory essence"

15 years ago I had to explain in a cafe (in London) what "flat white" meant 😯

In Kamakura the Sbucks opposite the City Hall is another great location

The one near the station doesn't have such a good view but it's a great place to just enjoy the downtown vibe

I always look for the Starbucks when travelling in Japan

Not for the coffee (I will drink tea or water while I'm in there) but for the chance to sit in a beautiful place and enjoy the location

If you are ever in Yokosuka you should try the Starbucks overlooking the harbour and Verny Park

I fancied myself as an Invisible Net Maker

(I was wrong)
