Hi @robinince.bsky.social - great to see you again in Rochdale tonight. Here's the pictures of you and Brenda! Hope to see you again soon on the Infinite Monkey Cage. Safe travels.

This is the route I've plotted. (The New Inn might be wrong...)

The route bears little resemblance to what the actual track of the route actually looks like. I've just plotted it on google! What on earth is going on here?

Here's my boxes... To be fair, I haven't touched them in decades!

Pleased to see that over 50% of today's electricity has come from wind turbines. Not entirely a surprise with storm n+1 passing over, but still, it's great that that's where we are at the moment.

Interestingly Metrolink have swapped the city crossings for the Bury services and Oldham services so for a change my tram goes to Market Street. Presume this is to increase Oasis capacity and decrease turning times allowing more services.

This one has existed since 2008 near the Uni of Hertfordshire in Hatfield. Not quite floating, but shared area at least. www.google.com/maps/@51.759...

Is this a wild raspberry vine making a break for it across (under) the Manchester tram tracks?

In Sainsbury's and amused/annoyed that you have to agree to terms that are styled as a hyperlink to use the scanners, but of course you can't click them to read them...

On this day a decade ago I went down to Woodford to wave goodbye to the Vulcan bomber, XH558. I posted on FB at the time: "I was on the edge of the Avro golf course, overlooking the Woodford site - from where we could see its approach to Manchester Airport... (cont) 1/2

Oh, that's a shame - the Hotspur Press building in the city is on fire, quite seriously.

It has a nice heritage facade, at least; I hope they can save it.

"We can surface features" says the Tesco app. What an ugly phrase. The word surface can clearly be a verb (eg submarines surface) but this sentence just seems to be awfully constructed. Also, why would they need to tell you your nearest store when you're already there?!
(I did not turn on location!)

Saw this in Manc Piccadilly Station. That font has got to be a deliberate choice, surely? No competent proofer/advertiser would have let that through otherwise.

I occasionally disable my adblock because I specifically want tracking to work. However, it opens up all sorts of adverts like this one (on transpennineexpress, but I've had similar on dominos too). How on earth are these last minute popups still a thing? Are they even legit/genuine? I have doubts.

I'm not having a go at individual choices to be honest. It's just noteworthy how vehicles have grown but roads/spaces haven't. I parked opposite this here in Manchester which was excessive enough for me to take a pic of it.
(I have a 20 yr old Skoda Fabia. Big enough but I don't have a family.)

Can we have some proper thought put into @bbcnewsofficial.bsky.social articles please? This one about the Gladiators winner suggests that someone won by a record breaking half a second or so. Be more accurate with the way you write things!

The copyright notice on tonight's Doctor Who is 2024. Is that a mistake, Timey-Wimey stuff or just when they completed it? Normally things have a copyright days of when it's first broadcast...

I wonder how much space for bikes there is on that bus, and how easy it is to use. Still, it's no Dartford Bike Bus! (possibly a reasonable thing, given the apparent inaccessibility of the stands...)

I haven't watched the video, but when in London and exploring a little I found this cracking NSE branding still at Marylebone! I'm sure it's already covered, but was a nice surprise to find it.

Found on my facebook memories from 2013... the closing credits of Question Time. Still makes me giggle.
