Right, but as Matt mentioned, that article is making a serious error (i.e it’s lying-with-statistics) by where it decides to start/index, so the graph is not at all informative unless you give the context of the craziness during Covid & wages, and employment levels, etc

During COVID a huge amount of people lost their jobs. This drove "average wages" up, but only because so many people were unemployed.
