I wonder how many of my Napoleonic friends know this... I just learned that in 2015 Belgium issued a €2.5 commemorative coin to mark the anniversary of Napoleon's defeat at Waterloo. They wanted it on their €2 coin but France vetoed that idea even after Belgium minted 180,000 of those coins (they

It's fair to say that conscription in Napoleonic France caused problems.
