I’ve really had enough of these takes that it’s been unfair that Europe has outsourced its defence to the US.

First of all, the US needed both the bases in Europe and European political and military backing for its global war on terror and the wars in the Middle East. It was never pure charity.

På fem veckor har nu USA lyckats fjärma sig från samtliga sina allierade. Jag har lite svårt att se poängen med det.
