Meet Tatyana Takagi, callsign "Polaris," a character I used to play in an old Lancer campaign that my friend Cel hosted for us.

She was basically the de facto squad leader of our ragtag band of mecha-mercs. Draconian, driven, headstrong - and most importantly, short-fused and trigger-happy.

I've already planned out the intro, and a mid album checkin on mental health (since it'll be after Fall For Me which depicts a man walking into the ocean). And the outro fading in after Missing Limbs showing me in the oceanic abyss, until the glass cracks and it all cuts abruptly.

Last month when I put on a whole audiovisual experience of Sundowning for these friends, I swore off doing album 2 because the first ritual "took more out of me than I was prepared to give."
And while that was true, I also had a lot of weight on my shoulders that I don't now.

Decided that once moved in I'll probably be in a much better headspace so I promised my friends I'd put on another Sleep Token ritual for their second album.
Gonna need to do a lot of scouting for footage in Dear Esther and SOMA.
Gonna make this a deep sea cryfest for the history books.

That moment when your research facility section of the ship begs to be jettisoned over blood curdling screams that echo as it drifts into the abyss is haunting.
The way peoples' cries for help just kind of fade into nothingness in the scanning screen, it's all so beautifully fucked.

I've played leagues of horror games and all of their finales pale in comparison to how it felt hearing my little ship I'd fought tooth and nail with radio to command, saying "This is the Kiith-Somtaw *BATTLESHIP,* Kun-Laan" after identifying as a mining vessel the entire game.

More people need to be aware of Homeworld Cataclysm ngl

They made one of the best Sci fi horror stories that is also about overcoming your preordained role in society, and they put it in a DLC for a space RTS with some of the best sound design and writing and voice acting of all time.
