Fieldwork in Astipalae island in Greece to track Amorgos Tsunami (1956) which is the largest in Mediterranean Sea over the moderne period. Waves reach 30m of elevation!
We sample Sediment cores in Vathy Bay and on land to find onshore and offshore tsunami deposits.

Our latest article on C sequestration over the past 150 years in Lake Aiguebelette show that C sequestration increased over the past 150 years due to local human disturbances. Even last decades, despite reduced nutrient loads following restoration.

Coring at Lake La Thuile as part of the ANR ALPINE project, the objective being to understand the microbial diversity in the core for paleoclimatic reconstruction using lipid indicators produced by bacteria that are paleotemperature tracers.

Tsunami in Lake du Bourget 200 years ago!!
Our paper investigate the 1822 earthquake and resulting tsunami with a maximum wave of 2.5m and seiche for 4 days!
This numerical model allow us to propose the mecanism at the origin of Homogenite
