Final update for now:

SC lawmakers did not vote on S.323 — they will reconvene next month and perhaps vote then after debating the bill themselves. We’re taking the weekend, and we’ll be back Monday with next steps.

We were honored that a client turned friend was willing to share her story. A few months ago, Jamee was denied care for her ectopic pregnancy. The hospital denied her the care she needed, but we were able to connect her to an OB that was willing to help.

This is not how healthcare should operate.

On Monday, we delivered over 2,000 postcards to members of the South Carolina Senate Medical Affairs Subcommittee w/msgs from people across our state demanding lawmakers vote NO on S.323.

Every card carried a powerful truth: South Carolinians want safe, legal abortion care & will not be silenced.

Something oddly comforting about being among hundreds, if not thousands, of pro-choice protesters gathered at the SC Statehouse, even under the circumstances. Great conversations volunteering at the @psabortionfund.bsky.social table! NO to S.323!
