Today's ciabatta. Bloomed the yeast first, something I haven't been doing. Not the open crumb of a true ciabatta, but it's soft and light. Crust is good as well. I like it. Next step, scale up by 50% and see if I can maintain that lift

Battle Ground is nice, just be aware of traffic, both I-5 and 205 can get badly clogged. Area does have great public transit and Tri-Met runs into downtown Vancouver. I admittedly have old man syndrome about Portland; back in my day getting off the Fremont Bridge into downtown was cake
