Using the dev proxmox to build out containers and automation, because... why not. Setting up next cloud too to de Google me and the wife.
Local self hosted is the only thing I truly trust at this point :)

Installed proxmox on hp dl360 gen 8 (crazy good deal) and creating a separate "dev" network with a minisforum pc with proxmox. Geek heaven :)

I'll let you in on a little secret . I am a promox fan boy :D. Had to do VMware but when VMware went to shit with their licensing. All in on promox. Also a storage nerd so zfs is also in my world :).

A lot slower if your on an even reasonably speced machine, but useful to test those occasional unusual cases

It looks like vb finally figured out how to support uefi, too :). I could never get it too work properly.
I've since moved on to qemy/kvm as my vm manager, but that's because I don't have to rely on windows as my host system 😀

My rule of thumb is start with defaults, get it working then play :).
Also, check to see is 2d/3D graphics accel is checked. Having the box ticked can sometimes cause issues if there is a mismatch between the expected vm hardware and you host hardware.
