My last chuckle before sleepy time
It was a good one
I've made similar observations to my students. Everyone gets upset when MS gets a new UI and the habits they develop and no longer have to think about now no longer works.
I attempt to ease that frustration by saying at the end of the day, every OS has to do the same basic things. Think like that.
I'm curious, does that mean most of the programs you run the most on windows also run on a mac?
Welcome to the destruction of American democracy. You saw it with your own eyes. You have no excuse.
No photos, but me and Phil. Grad school. Rookie cops. Fantastically outrageously bad. Police squad, bad. But worse.

Big fan of no kings day.
Boo yaa, everyone!

Quick followup, though. Can we get a sense of how it is playing in areas that voted for trump? Because at the end of the day, that's the only thing that the gop care about.
Student gets GREAT grades on the exams and the simulation exercises but fails HARD on the actual hands on labs.

This sadly demented man doesn't realize *he* was president on Jan 6, 2021. Get him in an assisted living facility ASAP.
Am I understanding this correctly?
You obtained pristine, unopened Ghostbusters and back to the future paraphernalia?

To be fair, one of the first things I do when creating a linux machine is remove a sound card. Why the f.... do I need sound to use me computer?
Cisco ios, (aka the king of enterprise networking) now linux based, your wireless router from best buy? Linux.

Help me out here folks. What else does lihux rule that is not desktop?
I'm positive I've just scratched the surface.
Yes, optimism is a crime...after all linux does rule every other segment of computing. Supercomputers, servers, quantum, iot, car, wireless, cellular... it's not a matter of if, just when.

Don't you find it odd that MS is adopting linux principles? Windows will be a gui option within 10 years.
_Opt in_ needs to be the default, not opt out
Being an academic, I get hives if I don't give due credit.
Initial source of assistance: youtu.be/mfbzTgVEVuE?...

Not quite exact for the screens I'm seeing in late 2025, but it got me started and tracks with my current understanding of how this all work.

Not that you would know, but I do wonder what kind of agreement there is on date sharing between major providers and leasee's ( is that the correct term??) Infrastructure.
Not saying anything is suspect, but that's the next question I would be looking into.
Hyper focus is a super power :D
For someone like a mom just browsing the internet, doing email, watching videos etc, linux mint has a gui very similar to windows so the transition will be less traumatic
Some trauma and frustration, since the mapping is not perfect, common activities are very close.
Quick question. Are phones such as this connectable to mainstream cell phone providers? T mobile, att, verizon... or are these companies contracting services from these providers (like cricket does), or building their own infra?
