My journey away from online and toward local autonomy continues.
With the recent release of Thunderbird 145, Mozilla has deployed native support for Microsoft Exchange: I switched my email to Thunderbird after this update

This update has solved a problem we had accepted as normal.

Picking up plur1us
Just finished episode 6
Getting a very genAI vibe
Probably not intent, but the "yes and" element is just creepy

Upgraded #PoP!OS last night from 22.04 LTS to 24.04 LTS with #cosmicDE
Smooth
No glitches
Though, to be fair, I tend to run a pretty vanilla system. Accepting defaults is my default.

Liking what I'm seeing, though!

@joshtpm.bsky.social , any thoughts on the release of the spiked 60 minutes CECOT segment by Canadian streaming service Global? It's been posted and taken down in numerous places but now there is a torrent, so it's not going anywhere. Not seeing any references to it pubs like politico or the Hill

Really interesting that #minisforum machines are barebones at the prices they are advertising. The machine I bought with 32gb ram, 1tb ssd is now the same price, barebones.
That's not how technology works
No thanks
Thought about a little treat for myself for Xmas. Now...

Merry Xmas to me!!

You know what I love about the #linux cli?
It doesn't matter what DE I select for a specific machine (age, cpu, ram, storage limitations). The cli works the same one each.

I bet that's true for windows too, I just never started there.

Not that it's a big thing, but I did figure out, with the help #almalinux forums where I was messing up running ansible-navigator.
Downloaded the #Cisco.ios collection but was not seeing it in the TUI.

Turns out I was running it as a container. Ran it with --ee=false.
There it is.

Just watch the first 2 episodes of #plur1bus
Wow! It pays homage to many Sci fi tropes... but does not lean on them. In fact, I would say it turns them on their heads.

A MUST watch.
Not to compare , but it had big blue door meets foundation vibes. Close in characters with huge potential scope

Today's #vim discovery/ useful tip:
Not sure if your yaml files are indentations line up? Need a quick doublechack ?

:set cursorcolumn

You get a vertical highlight that let's you see if your attributes are lined up.

Well done Python Software Foundation!

Says no 1..5 mil grant from NSF with terms like "if the PSF was found to have violated that anti-DEI diktat, the NSF reserved the right to claw back any previously disbursed funds,"
