Maybe you are right and perhaps they will click. I am just so tired. We have been going from top notch to below mediocrity year by year. The best players leave quicker than any replacements come in. I struggle to see the positives and doubt that we get into the knockouts. Like said hope you're right

If almost goals counted we would be competing for the trophy, but now I don't know what this would require.

You are right, there is some spark there, but at this point very little. The project has been going downhill for years. While others develop, we become worse.

I will issue an apology and correction as soon as they prove me wrong. It seems that many of our players have become worse than they were before.

PS. Now I am waiting for someone to say that I have missed the news and blablabla. That would be very typical. Boycotting twitter comes with a price I am willing to pay & on the other hand, talking here is talking to abyss, so maybe no one will even see this 😅

Maybe I have missed some key info. I know they've said that PdP won't be it and that they have decided etc, but before the work starts, it's difficult to swear on any one truth about it.

So there you have it. Don't think it's a hot take by any measure, but it's a lukewarm reflection perhaps. Fin.

Of course meddling with politics is very frightening because there are some really bad folks there & in that context the fate of Parc des Princes is irrelevant, no matter how much I love it, so if my theory has any basis in truth, they must be very mindful because the city needs a good leadership.

After all you should be able to more or less fill a stadium on a weekly basis, sometimes twice.

Not many things in football are as depressing as half empty stadium's because remember the capacity will be increased either way. (Note: there actually are far more depressing things in football)

I just don't feel that this file has been closed yet because every other option that I have heard is bad. And the fans don't really want them and with PFC on the heels ready to take over Parc des Princes, you can push yourself out of the picture even just through these practicalities.

It could be that NAK is taking the gamble & who knows even making backroom deals with some folks in the running re: Le Parc. It's just a theory. It certainly is not an accusation.

Let me rephrase: making inquiries, mapping the political landscape & taking temperature around the stadium question.

Here is my conspiracy theory, if I may: The municipal elections in Paris are next year march. That's mere months away and the incumbent mayor Anne Hidalgo, a supposed PSG supporter during good times is the public face of refusing the sale of Parc des Princes to PSG. I am sure there are others too.

Poissy is not an entirely different case. Very similar actually and the locals aren't all the rage about RER anyways. I mean if anything, it's further and from what I hear, quite difficult to reach for example for women's games. (Locals may school me about all of these things, feel free).

Massy has been mentioned. That'd be app. 45 mins from the city (depends where, but I checked from Opera). That's a long way for an ordinary person at night, especially if you want it to be for families with kids.

To be honest, not being on Twitter would very potentially make me miss exactly this type of information.

On top of which, this match is the flagship match of our league. Especially the one at velodrome I would say because we don't have the home advantage. And this is the match that French football wants to hide behind the Ballon d'or ceremony. It's absolutely ludicrous.
September 22, 2025 at 4:50 AM
I don't disagree with that at all. I think it is safe to say that this is a clash with PSG's already existing schedule. But even beyond us, this makes the whole French football look like an amateur circus.
September 22, 2025 at 4:42 AM
Personally I don't even care if we just gave it to them 3-0 because it's not gonna help them. But also French football needs to intervene. This is embarrassing for all. Out of all years, this is not the one to mess with us.

Jourde had probably the best shot in this team. She has clearly done her hours of practice and it shows. Getting the ball to her feet at the edge of the box and outside of it, could lead to quite a few goals. Lots of great other performances. This is Sakina's team & she leads from the front.
