It's not so much a "new" pay package as a "potential" one - and it will never eventuate, because Musk is far too foolish to achieve the benchmarks (which are absurdly optimistic anyway).

Perhaps MTG is taking baby-steps on the path taken by Michael Cohen and others who have learned that they were all along mistaken at heart over MAGA politics. Not every deluded victim of a con artist keeps marching to the tune of every Harold Hill endlessly.

The trouble is that Democrats keep doing the wrong things - attempts to shield the public from adverse consequences of electing Trump are counter-productive. The full calamity should be allowed to run its course so that a hard lesson in civic responsibility can be belatedly learned.

If the Democrats were politically competent they should by now be securely poised to gain 50+ seats at the midterm elections and Prop 50 would be unnecessary.

The American people gave Trump absolute pardon power - there will be no-one left to prosecute after he exercises it en masse and then resigns so that POTUS Vance can pardon him.

None of this contradicts my original statement that Bannon asserts there is a way for Trump to be POTUS again after his second term, and that election as VP (per Coenen's cogent theory) may be a method these reprobates have in view.

Please read Coenen on this - it applies for instance to LBJ who was VP first, rather than to DJT who was not. The Constitution is interpreted by logic, sometimes twisted by SCOTUS, not by homespun intuition.
