Wow, hard to imagine a world where rich people have access to the most expensive doctors and hospitals while the average person doesn't. Let's hope that Americans never have to worry about that happening.

Or, since non of has seen the deal and this is all speculation anyway, the deal severely limits the extent to which (if at all) Disney IP can actually be used in generated videos.

Maybe this is a deal to say only Sora AI has the right to use Disney AI so they can sue everyone else.

Are you fucking kidding me right now good sir?

This pissed me off when I started watching Succession
bsky.app/profile/psub...
I didn't start watching until S2 was already done. I went in with high expectations and the first scene in S1E1 is Cousin Greg smoking a joint and then proceeding to puke because, he was too high I guess? I was like, WTF is this nonsense? This is the best show on TV? Still good, not great, IMHO.

But I would honestly be shocked to learn that there was some sort of massive unchecked collusion occurring in the tournaments and cash games I play in.

And none of that is to make some sort of moral case for online gambling. Shouldn't be legal to have a casino in your pocket but I'm a degenerate.

They look for (and catch) if the same two people are always playing together. And you can only create an account with an actual State ID, so you can't go about creating multiple accounts to evade that. Of course, that can still be abused and people surely do to some small extent.

Nowadays, this all above board and legal. I play online at WSOP(PA) that is tied to a physical casino in Philly. I can go to a cage there, show my ID, and cash out and it's legit/legal now.

Further, there are many security features employed to at least TRY to curb the behavior you referenced.

Respectfully, this is not true of the current online poker environment. I've played legally and illegally online for decades now. Years ago, sure, it was the wild west and I was cashing out $ with sketchy Western Union wire transfers from an "uncle" in Peru (not kidding at all).

@mtsw.bsky.social , not sure why I thought of you here or if you were into the MIs, but am I off-base here? Just seems like an egregious screenwriting error.

You'd make their fucking heads explode showing them all the times he dressed in drag.

And of course, the GIGANTIC caveat being, this product is actually creating this video legally, with the consent of said chosen porn stars with a potion of the revenue going to them and appropriate licensing fees paid to the original video copyright holders and whatnot which will never happen.
December 6, 2025 at 1:43 PM
However, "create an AI porn scene with (insert female 1980 and 2010 male porn star) doing X,Y, and Z" would totally be a sellable product and the dude making it doesn't want to share that video with others (I don't think?), they just want to jerk-off.
December 6, 2025 at 1:43 PM
This is literally one of the few legitimate (caveat below) use-cases I can see for an actual AI product people would pay money for. There's no money in some random dude's AI generated Star Wars re-write, no one wants to see it even though the dude would love to share it with the world.

So this is probably some ridiculous setup to support some online slots I guess? Very weird regardless.
December 5, 2025 at 5:27 AM
I don't know all the legalities, but my understanding is that any online gambling site needs to be tied to an actual casino in that State in some way. I play WSOP poker legally her in PA and it is run by Harrah's in Philly, I've cashed out money from online play at their cage.

Like, yeah? I totally get that this stuff requires regulation that isn't being done and FSD is false advertising, AT BEST.

HOWEVER, I wrecked my first car as an inattentive teen and had a 2nd accident before I was 19. FSD, for all it flaws, is probably infinitely safer than me at 17.
