So here's a messed up way having insurance could actually mean paying more out-of-pocket for an ER visit than if you DIDN'T have insurance at all. This will take a bit to explain, so bear with me.

Great thread at articulating many of the same thoughts I share on the subject.
This ought not be a controversial provision, but the default-utilitarianism (often if not always un-analyzed) by the majority of progressive folks makes them blind to the logical flaw in their position. Attend.
If you want to say "your First Amendment position makes it more difficult to prevent bullying against trans kids," that is a totally legitimate position -- and true. The First Amendment makes it more difficult to stop a lot of things that should be stopped.

Home Alone makes changes to the Die Hard formula that render it hard for me to enjoy. The McClain character should feel overawed. And in theory having Kevin be a child versus adults achieves that. But the thing is: Kevin is a god. It's not just Tom & Jerry. This is some random punks versus Anansi.
