This. And also the notion that autism is something that always needs 'treatment' or 'prevention' - when we all know neurodiverse people have frequently been behind great leaps in human knowledge, incredible creativity and unique insight. Like everything brains are not binary normal / abnormal.

Whether they're blaming vaccines and Tylenol, or selling dubious "remedies," what they're really doing is promoting the perception that families (and especially mothers) can prevent and treat Autism. And thus also the perception that people with Autism and their families don't need social support.

I agree with Ronnie about hiking shoes. I wear Decathlon ones myself. What’s special about hiking shoes is the stiff sole which I find reduces foot fatigue. www.decathlon.ie/p/342892-424...
