He is there haha, I talked about how someone tried to throw a bomb into an Invasion Day rally this year & he started heckling which I couldn't really hear & caught something about the Australian flag being burned so I was just like, "Idgaf, fuck that flag"

Genuinely though, aside from that one dickhead, it went really well & people really enjoyed it & were super sweet. It's wild to me how well these songs are going down with unfamiliar audiences, I never quite expected that we'd go down as well as we do

Schema definitely helped me a lot after years of CBT which was at absolute best a band aid (also found out it may just not work at all on autistic people). It hasn't fixed everything by any means, but it has given much a much more sturdy & healthy base to handle things when they do come up 💜

Look not everyone has to like, appreciate or even understand why I make the heavy & intense music that I do, & while I don't think I'm approaching everything from a Deeply Serious™ perspective, I don't think it's hard to tell I make it sincerely & that laughter is not the main reaction I want

It also keeps people in shitty, insecure & sometimes even unsafe work because they know dealing with that system will be so incredibly bad
January 30, 2026 at 7:09 AM
Also, to be clear, dealing with the actual government agency of Centrelink was just as worse. These systems are designed to dehumanise & demoralise people in the worst ways possible, it's just adding that extra element of profit seeking on top of it makes it even more dysfunctional

I went into an appointment on the day a pet died even though I absolutely wasn't prepared to emotionally handle it because I just couldn't risk the payment suspension. Dealing with those places actively made me more dysfunctional & less equipped to be able to look for work

Oh btw, that guy who had over 200 people he was overseeing? He was completely unphased by it because he was seeing over 500 people at one stage at a different job network. How could you possibly understand people's individual circumstances with that kind of workload?
January 30, 2026 at 6:54 AM
The attitude of most of these workers is that they assume at least half, if not majority of the people who come through their doors don't want to work at all & that 100% informs how they treat highly vulnerable people. I've had extensive experience with these ghouls & it's still hard to talk about
January 30, 2026 at 6:51 AM
I have lost track of the amount of times I've heard stories about people receiving messages they needed to respond to in order to not have their payments suspended ten minutes before the job network closed. Even people who responded quickly didn't get their calls answered cause they shut off phones
