There has been some absolute bullshit involved with Australian Mardi Gras this year & it really just reinforces the fact that these events/organisations that really rely on corporate money & proximity to politicians are absolute garbage who have no interest in genuine queer liberation

I think often of the women in the Louis CK story—how they all left comedy and never went back, but he’s still going. It’s everywhere and it’s such a loss for them and for us—for things they’ll never make that we’ll never see.

The Dilators stand with Aboriginal people and oppressed peoples worldwide.

I think it's worth pointing out that it's actually outsourced private companies who are doing the mutual obligation enforcement, not the government & that they are usually overloaded (one guy I talked to had over 200 people to see in a fortnight) & are incentivized to enforce penalties
I feel like a lot of people who aren't already clued into welfare justice don't understand how bad it actually is either. Like, they'll say stuff like "oh well, at least the government is trying to help people find jobs," but it isn't, lol. Mutual obligation is a blunt instrument...
Anything above 40 degrees celsius is dangerous even for people who are otherwise healthy. We need to fix this now before somebody dies because of it. Mutual obligations have never even been important beyond just forcing unwaged people to endure cruelty to collect the payments needed to survive.

On week one of doing my estrogen shot twice a week & I can already tell how much better I'm feeling. Forever annoyed that even the supposedly "good" doctors in my city still missed that my levels were way too low at trough. Be a bitch, demand to see your results & keep being vigilant
