Without Pogacar, Van der Poel would have won 5 of the last 6 editions of RVV on top of the last 3 editions of PR, Vingegaard would have won the last 5 Tours and Evenepoel would be double Olympic, double World and double European champion. Would that make the sport more exciting?

...obviously boosted by 4 French stage winners but structural factors too as held right after men's race, no competition from Olympics, football etc. For comparison women avg. is 2.7m, men 3.8m and the men's peak was 8.8m. Both very good numbers, satisfied tone from host broadcaster each time.

Yes I thought about that too but seeing how male French dopers are treated and celebrated, that would be horrible double standards. Don't know which would be worse tbh

Such a hard stage to control tomorrow and Demi and Kasia can both go all in for win with relatively strong team support. Visma have been good but they will be tested. Will be watching from behind sofa I think!!
