Basically a bunch of abstract ink doodles on paper, scanned, and each put on its own layer. Then I just played around with blend modes and transparency, reordering layers, turning certain layers off, zoom in, find interesting compositions and just do select & merged copy. And then go from there.

And then just taking crops of nice compositions in which you see potential, and go from there. Use blend modes a fair bunch to preserve the texture of the traditional media scans, don't overwork etc. Though this can also be used to make starts for very polished pieces.

The idea is to have a good amount of the initial shape sketches. They should not be overly complex but have decent depth (getting fainter towards the back) and size variation. It's pretty easy to find neat starting points by playing with the layers, toggling, switching modes.

Another ancient (ca. 2006 I think) digital piece, which I still like. Used a method from a Scott Robertson video. Make some shape sketches with depth using traditional media (markers, inks, whatevs), then scan them and put them into layers. Play with blend modes, find a part you like.

Very old (2009, I think) piece which I still kinda like. Likeness is not great, but the style is fun (tho I rarely do any vector stuff) And the yellow stuff in the back is actual acrylic paint I scanned, which I think works nicely with the graphic approach of the main figure.

Yes, I am pretty sure that Makkon has nothing against that use of AI. Knowing him he is against genAI and LLM shit like chatGPT, which is garbage. The other kinds of AI have been a round for a very long time.

I can fix this by setting my OS resolution to 1080p, but, not an ideal solution.

Just bought this because I thought it looks interesting, but a good deal of the screen is cut off on the sides, bc I am on a 16:10 monitor and the game has not resolution options. I still have bars at the top and bottom, but the equipped item box for example is cut off on the left a fair bit.

They just made it look like super generic ca 2005 or so game and also stripped it of a lot of character. i feel sorry for everyone who worked on this.
