I'm mainly a pixel pusher, but I'm trying to make the switch to full game dev. Currently, I'm focused on a little magic tower game called 'Od's Tower'. I also have a few other projects on the back burner.

The Legendary Axe concept mockup. Been a while since I made one of these. Research was tough. I have no connection to the game or the turbografx-16 whatsoever, but the final boss being a weird and unsettling merger of confused cavemen held together by an eldric mass was captivating.

A 1992 ad from Japan for Daikoukai Jidai, an RPG and trading sim hybrid for the Sega Mega Drive by Koei

It's the Age of Discovery and players take the role of a young man seeking to rebuild his family's mercantile legacy in 16th century Europe. It came to North American shores as Uncharted Waters!

The ad shows a big screenshot of the starting town showing important places like the local Guild, a Bar where you can recruit crew for your ships, the Exchange, and the Palace where you can rub elbows with royalty and hopefully earn some recognition.

Retailing for ¥11,800 (for the PC version), the game was part of Koei's "Rekoeition" series. Two other games for the Mega Drive from Koei are also below -- Nobunaga's Ambition: Tales of the Conquerors and Romance of the Three Kingdoms II.
