And yes, I realise many people have zero disposable income, so for some definition of 'rich' I agree with the statement.
But that doesn't mean that you need some crazy cash to be an audiophile, of course the outliers pay stratospheric amounts of money to show off their homeopathic improvements.

Mm.. I'll agree but I would add that human hearing typically is so phenomenal that most humans can tell cheap audio sounds terrible compared to the live version.
To me, audiophiles like myself simply put a larger than standard percentage of disposable income towards fixing it.

Always keep things local but even then its a balance. When away on holiday my home is noticing an event every 840am and triggering my silent alarm. Fun times, at least I haven't set the alarm to go nuts with the outdoor siren yet... Don't wire up anything you depend on, especially locks.
