This is hazardous - being hogtied like this makes it difficult to breathe, because all your weight and pressure is on your chest, and it’s hard to expand your lungs. I’ve seen people pass out from being hogtied, and without QUICK intervention, bad things happen. Positional asphyxia is real.

I’m sharing a Palestinian account every day and today is Dina. Dina’s husband was taken by the occupation when the family was displaced from Rafah last May. She has two small children Jouri, 9 and Zain, 6. She is all on her own trying to keep them alive in a shoddy tent.
