We refuse to keep silent and avoid speaking harsh truths. The BCA, while diverse and varied in its views, can no longer be considered a trusted partner, as well as a faithful representative of the independent Pure Land Buddhist tradition. We harbor no ill feelings but are firm in our decision.

These wretched vultures have been allowed to act as the mouthpiece for Sanghas for FAR TOO LONG. We DON'T NEED THEM. Unless they're Greek, THEY HAVE NEITHER THE AUTHORITY NOR INTEGRITY TO SPEAK FOR US.

As described by Chun-Wa Chan, portable Buddhist shrines were already in use by the 5th century in the region of Gandhara and were introduced into Japan a few centuries later.
Portable Japanese shrines (zushi) were often ornately decorated and fitted with doors to conceal the icon inside. 3/5
