Yeah, the surface is SO LONG. And the best thing you can do with most enemies is stand far away and fire something and that's just....really the opposite of why Hades 1 was fun.

Yeah, the twin scythes are the best weapon, but they're also like the only one that doesn't prioritize shooting from a distance.

Does anyone else just feel kinda 🤷about the combat in Hades 2? It just is like... the boons aren't that cool. I don't feel like they do as much. And mostly you stand back and shoot. And it's just kinda... fine. But I finish a run and usually just put down the controller and walk away.

It’s also a much more passive play style. You’re punished for being too aggressive. And the boons kinda suck. The boons feel like a big downgrade. I don’t want to craft things at base. I hate crafting games. Why did they make this a pseudo crafting game? I just want cool boons.

I dunno. Maybe? Like, I would say the thing I still like the most is characters/writing/story. It's the changes to the gameplay that are really bogging me down. Some really strange choices imo.

Yeah, it just doesn't win to be not-Trump. We've seen over and over that it doesn't win, and even when it does win, it doesn't fix anything. you can win with policies, real, actual policies.

Me too. Every single writer affected by this whether indie or small press or trad or a short story writer or a scientist publishing journal articles or a fanfic writer should be able to get compensation and take their work out of these monsters' hands.

Yeah, I think it's kinda burdensome for indies, both in complexity and cost, so I think a lot of them skip it. Surprised to hear that trad is skipping it as well though. Sounds like a LOT of authors are getting left out of this lawsuit.

Yeah, that's what I'm saying. A lot of indies only do the ASIN, so I suspect a lot of them will be excluded from this.

This sucks. I'm gonna hazard to guess that a whole lot of indie authors are getting screwed here. ISBNs are very, very expensive, but Kindle offers their own "free" ones. I don't know if those are going to be protected the same way in this, but I would not be surprised if they're left out.
