You literally said “come at me”

Is this to say you question the veracity of this list?

In any event, I’ll be sure to raise my discontent when this list actually appears. You have quite a bit of work to do

That’s probably 4th or 5th at best

“Legacy artist album” meaning any album at any time by one or an album that appeared after their peak?

There are half a dozen of his albums you could reasonably include instead of Love and Theft so 🤷

I cannot personally make such a list without Dylan as I would be a strong thought person in this case

Post an statement to rile them up. Go…

The good one. Good enough apparently it’s the SECOND BEST SONG of the last 25 years

Who’s going to be the first to stop doing shit like this?

(Maps at number two???)

A world where The Animals were the world’s biggest act….

Ten hit number two eventually in 1992 months after release I’d say because Nevermind hit number one earlier. I won’t dispute their influences but Nevermind was the first mover of the commercialization of the genre (derogatory mostly) that The Pixies and Sonic Youth would never have achieved

BUT think of our round 3 idea if you did
putnam39.bsky.social
I think you’re downplaying how Nirvana - and Grunge - was small potatoes alternative until Nevermind when it was pulled into the mainstream and steamrolled those other indie threads. Just look at “indie/alternative” at turn of the decade compared to 1994-5 for instance.

Fantastic album, production a bit flat, but some of her best songwriting. “An Ice Age,” “Destination,” and “Rusty Mountain” are my favorites. My youngest kid who went to the show with me likes “Little Gears”

I agree about Bleach but how is their impact overstated

Shame on me for not digging into the Sharon van etten album

The list is several years old and reader votes from what is clearly a white dude guitar rock site. It’d be more fun if this was actually from a supposed authority on the matter

Can’t decide what to buy on Prime Day?

Try: absolutely nothing, and then go support indie bookstores instead 📚

That’s what I’m saying. I think she didn’t mind before because she liked the albums. This album isn’t any more profit seeking but that’s used as a sudden outrage scapegoat because she didn’t like this one
