As much as I want to agree with you, we can't have it both ways. Either we adhere to an international rules based order which grants the equivalent of diplomatic immunity to heads of state (as distinct from heads of government) or we don't. The simplest exit strategy is to withdraw his invite.

That may be so, but unless he apologises for dishonouring our Fallen and desecrating their graves, he is not welcome here. His invitation MUST be withdrawn. @AlboMP

Give him the bill for desecration of our war graves
February 6, 2026 at 1:23 AM
No, let him come and SHOW him our ANGER!

Let's do it her way! Reintroduce the Dictation test and chuck her out

He is looking for the platform that yields most votes from his bloc, nothing else.

Exactly the reason I search out the Jewish Council for commentary, who, in my experience, are Australians of the Jewish Faith
January 21, 2026 at 6:56 AM
So can you explain to Mr Crisafoolish that fewer guns available = fewer guns stolen
January 21, 2026 at 5:10 AM
I was about to give you the big tick (I too support the Jewish Council), but then realised democracy is about everyone having their say...

I would hope that @albomp.bsky.social is sufficiently well versed in ALP (if not Aussie) history to understand the significant role Doc Evatt played in the formation of the UN. Would hate to see it go down the drain in favour of a Trump inspired United White Corrupt Christian Nations grouping...

You forgot #AUKUS installments! How many is it now? Talk about a soft touch!
January 21, 2026 at 12:26 AM
Let's give him the benefit of the doubt and assume 80million people voted for him. I wonder whether he realises that the other 8billion plus people on this earth are actually laughing at him? Methinks we may need to redefine Narcissism.

She was elected as the Member for Oxley in 1996... Albeit as a disendorsed Lib.. and was just as dangerous then.
January 20, 2026 at 4:14 AM
How does that work? Goes against the old maxim: "How do you know when a politician is Lying? When his lips are moving!"
January 20, 2026 at 3:56 AM
At least you're looking on social media - not paying Murdoch...
January 19, 2026 at 6:07 AM
Better than looking for yourself... Just saying 😜
January 19, 2026 at 1:59 AM
Unfortunately, I'm not so sure about that last sentence... 😢
January 19, 2026 at 12:06 AM
Ah through several iterations we have finally converged! I have been advocating such ties since Liberation Day.
Also advocating increased trade within the (British) Commonwealth - probably just for spite, because USA is not a member 😜🤣- which of course includes India.

What about the UAP 🤣🤣? It has come... and gone... and come again... and gone again... and then farted (or as they would say trumpeted)!
Kos Samaras has written interesting articles on fb on Bloc voting (or ideological ecosystems) and "tribes" within the bloc. Great theoretical background on #AUSPOL
January 18, 2026 at 11:19 PM
I hate to disappoint you...
January 18, 2026 at 11:05 PM
I note you make no case for the other evil, the choice for USA.
We have already experienced the China pain, and with experienced politicians seem to have come out the other side (at least temporarily).
January 18, 2026 at 12:38 PM
In the history of #AUSPOL political parties have come and gone. The oarty of Menzies has merely been replaced ny the party if the Ipswich fish and chip lady...

Yes I believe NATO as we know it will end.
I also wish the new NATO well.
