Funny thing I learned reading the PaRappa 2 guidebook is that the designers thought "What kind of animal would be good at hairdressing? An octopus, of course! He could hold scissors in his eight hands!", and when they told this to Rodney Greenblatt, they were shocked that he came back with this

since ive been reworking the prologue, ive also made some tweaks to its boss fight, the Chieftain.

Its a fairly complex fight for the early game but Jupe is quite overpowered in the prologue

Devs, what’s one silly or “not really needed” feature you added — just because it made you happy? 😅

For me, it’s this extra camera control… zoom out the camera, zoom it back in. Totally unnecessary, but it feels nice (and hey, it does have its uses!).

Question for gamers + devs: what’s the first feature/effect you turn off in a new game? 👀

I always disable motion blur straight away (sometimes I turn it back on later… maybe), but it’s the first to go lol. Then I start tweaking everything else.
