Try out the aeromatic app. It has some nice recipes and guide you with grind size as well

I have seen that somewhere before :)

I like the idea of dingbats but haven’t ordered one yet. How do they compare to a Leuchturm1917 or a Moleskine?

Bulletjournal.com has some good resources, the booklet in the journal itself can help and I recommend getting the book.

Try the system first before making it fancy. For me, it is about the effect, not the stickers and art.

Got myself a Lammy Safari to give fountain pens another go. First impression is that is smooth and light but skips a bit. Perhaps this will change.

Also found an old Parker Jotter (made in the UK) and got myself a new cartridge, writes better than expected and quite liking that so far.

I like to keep the journal minimal. Just text and minimal scribblings. I prefer black ink and it would be great if they can be refilled. I would like a smooth writing experience (the PN scratches to much).

I am also open to mechanical pencils or fountain pens that are finer than the Parker IM.

Short update; currently on cast on number four. For some reason, people keep distracting me when I am knitting, causing me to miss a stitch and ending with the wrong stitch at the end of the needle.

How do you deal with distractions? Blocking the world out with noise cancelling head phones?

Just a runners knee it seems. Walking is a bit hard at the moment :)

Any suggestions on how to get over that would be most welcome.

And thank you for the kind words!

To be fair, I was being a bit cheap as well. The "local" store had metal ones, which were a bit expensive, and these. Again, knowing myself, I will probably end up with a semi store inventory in a bit.

That is a very generous offer. Mind you, I am not based in the USA though.

I tried sending you a PM, but it says you can't be messaged.

Thanks for the suggestion. Currently I am struggling with everything so might as well just get it over with :)

Yes it is but knowing myself, I either mess up the first one, or like it enough to knit a second one or a matching scarf

This looked great, just having second doubts about the cables now :)

The Fellow Prismo or the Aeropress official alternative might rekindle your relationship.

Well, this week, I cleaned the pen and put in a new cartridge, and it worked fine. It worked as expected.
However, I haven't used the pen in two days, and it is again clogged. I can't write with it, and I need to clean it again before I can use it. I guess the Parker IM and I just aren't matching.

I could have sworn I woke up this morning. But who knows, perhaps I am just dreaming somewhere else.

A moka is high on my list. Good to see you are enjoying it. What did you drink before?
December 8, 2024 at 7:55 PM
You can try the inverted method, just make sure that you properly hold your press when you flip it, or you will have a bad day.

The other option is getting a Fellow Prismo (or the Aeropress alternative).

And try out the Aeromatic app, it has some good recipes to get your started.

Enjoy!
